Energy Project in Kvesheti Public School
Kvesheti public school is one of Georgia SPARE schools. The school is in very poor condition in terms of energy efficiency. Two teachers attended the SPARE regional seminar in Gudauri (September 2008). The teachers were also supplied with Energysaving handbooks, notebooks, posters and other information materials.

The lessons are carried out in day time. All classrooms are located towards the sun. Sunshine period in December is more than 6 hours (09.30. – 16.00). Therefore, in case of good insulation of the building there is a huge possibility to use solar energy for heating.

Window glasses for all damaged windows for all 12 classrooms, Insulation materials for windows, doors and frames were purchased.

The windows and insulation materials has been delivered to Ms. Maliko Khevsurishvili (director of the school). Training on window insulation for teachers, technical staff of the school and high class pupils was carried out by EcoVision.  

Windows were changed in one of the classrooms. The same classroom was fully insulated by EcoVision representatives, technical staff and pupils.
