The SPARE Caucasus Regional Seminar was held in the Hotel Kolkhida, Ureki Georgia on 24-27 September 2010. The meeting was organized by Union for Sustainable Development EcoVison and supported by the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature. Teachers from Armenia Azerbaijan and Georgia attended the seminar.
The purpose of the regional meeting was:

To strengthen regional cooperation between SPARE schools in South Caucasus region
To exchange of experience on conducting of practical lessons on energy saving
To elaborate elaboration of SPARE future strategy in South Caucasus region
Opening speech with overview of SPARE project was made by Kay Asbjørn Schjørlien (Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature). Country presentations were made by SPARE regional coordinators - Mr. Hrant Sargsyan, Ms. Nailia Ismailova and Prof. Gia Sopadze. They described main benefits and obstacles of SPARE activities and future prospects of SPARE development in South Caucasus countries in their presentations.

Possibilities of attracting of additional sources for project financing and NGO capacity building issues were discussed at the first day. Some ideas on joint projects were presented by the participants.
Presentations and video clips on innovative teaching methodologies and best practical lessons were demonstrated by the teachers. Very interesting discussion on possibilities of teaching of energy saving thematic in special schools (for disable children) was introduced by the participants. Summarize speeches were made by all participants, they emphasized that the seminar was very interesting and useful.
Small sketches on energy saving thematic was staged and performed by all working groups.
At the conclusion of the seminar SPARE school teachers for 3 countries were awarded SPARE certificates.
